Burnsville, MN. — February 16, 2018 — Mackin, a leading provider of print and digital fiction and non-fiction books for K-12, is pleased to announce that MackinVIA, their multi-award winning digital content management system, has received a second Platinum Award in LibraryWorks’ third annual Modern Library Awards (MLAs.) The MLAs are an annual unbiased program dedicated to recognizing elite products and services for the library community.

Products and services were submitted in the fall and were batched into small groups and sent to the LibraryWorks database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic, and special libraries. Only customers with experience with these products/services in their facilities were permitted to judge the products/services, resulting in a truly unbiased score.

“During the past 8 years, MackinVIA has secured a very strong and prominent foothold in schools and districts around the world,” states Mesa Heise, Director of Digital Services. “Today we are proud to boast that this free digital content management system has not only won multiple awards, but is now accessible by more than 9 million students around the world.”

“Mackin has always been known for their ingenuity and penchant for superior customer service. It’s no surprise that MackinVIA performed so well and won another MLA award,” exclaimed Troy Mikell, Director of Marketing and Communications for Mackin.

Jenny Newman, publisher and MLA program manager said, “It’s hardly a surprise that Mackin scored so well. They’ve been highly respected, innovative leaders within their industry since their inception.”
